SPANISH ACADEMIES


Spain had a tradition of literary academies established in the "Golden Age," which spanned the 16th and 17th centuries; well over 30 academies are documented. Later, the Bourbons founded eight Royal Academies. Listed below are links to academies and learned societies from both of these eras.
